Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are tight but not constricting, providing a secure, locked-in fit. Double-knotting can prevent untying during play.
- Break-in (if needed): While many elite boots are designed for immediate wear, some players prefer a short break-in period. Wear them for short training sessions initially to allow the upper to mold to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are ideal for natural grass fields that are firm and dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or soft/wet natural grass (SG) can lead to accelerated stud wear, damage to the soleplate, or an increased risk of injury due to inappropriate traction.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off excess mud and dirt with a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Remove insoles and allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not dry them in direct sunlight, on radiators, or with artificial heat sources, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled paper inside to maintain their shape. Avoid storing them in damp or confined spaces.
- Inspection: Regularly check studs for wear and tear. Damaged or worn studs can impact performance and safety.
