The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 trainers are designed for adult female runners seeking a high-performance shoe for consistent road mileage and tempo training. Featuring advanced NITROFOAM technology and a carbon-composite PWRPLATE, these shoes offer exceptional energy return and propulsion, though they are specifically engineered for runners with a neutral gait rather than those requiring high-stability correction.

Yes, the Deviate Nitro 4 is built for consistent road mileage and is well-suited for the training phases of a marathon.
No, these are designed for neutral gait support and do not offer corrective features for overpronation.
While PUMAGRIP is durable, these are optimized for road surfaces. They may lack the protection and lug depth needed for technical trails.
You should have about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to allow for foot swelling during long runs.
Yes, the insoles are removable, allowing you to insert custom orthotics if required.
The PWRPLATE is designed to provide increased propulsion and energy efficiency by acting as a lever during your toe-off.
Try adjusting the lacing pattern to a 'window' lacing style to relieve pressure while maintaining a secure lockdown.
Ensure the PUMAGRIP treads are free of embedded debris like small stones or caked mud, which can affect grip.
Use the extra eyelet at the top of the shoe to create a 'runner's loop' or heel lock to secure the ankle collar better.
To ensure the longest life for your trainers, avoid machine washing or tumble drying, as high heat can degrade the foam and bonding agents. If they get wet or dirty, remove the insoles and clean them with a soft brush and mild soap, then allow them to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight. Ensure you have the correct size for your gait; the fit should be snug but not restrictive. For optimal performance, check the PUMAGRIP outsole periodically for excessive wear patterns that might suggest it is time for a replacement, typically after 300 to 500 miles of use.
