The PUMA Deviate NITRO 4 trainers are designed for neutral female runners who prioritize speed, responsiveness, and energy return during high-intensity training or asphalt running. As part of the performance-focused PUMA x HYROX collection, these shoes utilize advanced carbon fiber technology to propel each stride; however, they are specifically engineered for performance and may feel less cushioned for those seeking a soft, plush recovery shoe.

Yes, the Deviate NITRO 4 is designed for speed and energy return, making them capable of handling long distances, though they are specifically tuned for the demands of the HYROX series.
These trainers feature a 10mm drop, which provides a standard platform that encourages efficient forward transitions.
No, the PWRPLATE is embedded within the midsole to provide consistent structural support and propulsion.
These are primarily designed for asphalt and road surfaces; using them on technical, rocky trails may damage the midsole foam.
Use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe down the exterior. Avoid machine washing or drying, as this can degrade the foam and glue.
The Deviate NITRO 4 is engineered primarily for neutral runners.
Ensure the laces are not overtightened; the engineered upper is designed to hold the foot securely without excessive pressure.
Check the outsole for excessive wear; carbon plates function best when the surrounding foam retains its integrity.
The shoe is designed for forward motion; ensure you are utilizing the full length of the lacing system to secure the heel.
To ensure the longevity of your PUMA Deviate NITRO 4 trainers, it is recommended to allow the foam to decompress between runs. Because of the carbon fiber plate, ensure the shoes are stored in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources which could warp the structural integrity of the midsole. If you run in wet conditions, remove the sockliner and air-dry the shoes naturally without placing them directly on radiators. Regularly check the outsole for debris to maintain the grip necessary for high-speed training.
