The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 is a versatile performance trainer designed for adult athletes seeking a balance of propulsion, cushioning, and grip. Ideal for both HYROX competitors and daily training sessions, this shoe leverages advanced foam technology to maintain momentum; however, users should be aware that its highly responsive nature may require a short adjustment period for those transitioning from strictly minimal footwear.

Yes, the NITRO foam is designed for energy return and comfort, making them suitable for long-distance efforts as well as sprint training.
While they provide good stability, they are performance trainers. They are suitable for functional fitness and circuits, but dedicated powerlifting may require a flatter, harder sole.
Use a damp cloth with a mild detergent and gently wipe the surface. Allow them to air dry naturally.
The shoe features a performance-oriented, structured fit. If you have wide feet, you may find the midfoot feels snug; consider trying them on with thin performance socks.
Generally, performance trainers maintain their cushioning properties for 300-500 miles, depending on the intensity of your usage and surface types.
Adjust the lacing to utilize the top eyelet, known as the 'runner's knot' or 'heel lock', to secure the ankle.
This is likely the PWRPLATE. Increase wear time gradually over 2-3 weeks to allow the plate and foam to flex naturally with your stride.
Use a soft-bristled brush to clear out the tread pattern after gym sessions to maintain maximum grip.
To ensure optimal performance, ensure you are wearing the correct UK size 7.5 as specified for this variant, utilizing a runner's loop on the laces if you require extra heel lockdown. For care, avoid machine washing or drying, as this can degrade the structural integrity of the foam and glue. Instead, spot clean with a soft cloth and mild soap. If the shoes become wet inside, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry away from direct heat sources to prevent material warping.
