Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
These boots require minimal setup. Simply put them on and lace them up securely. It is recommended to wear them for a few light training sessions before a match to allow the K-leather to mold perfectly to your foot, ensuring the best possible fit and feel.
Compatibility
- Pitch Type: These boots are exclusively designed for very soft, natural grass pitches where screw-in studs can penetrate the ground effectively. They are *not* recommended for firm ground, artificial turf, or hard ground pitches, as this can damage the studs and potentially cause injury or poor performance.
- Studs: The screw-in studs can be replaced. Ensure replacement studs are compatible with adidas World Cup models and are appropriate for the ground conditions.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the lifespan and performance of your K-leather boots:
- Clean Immediately After Use: After every game or training session, wipe off mud and dirt using a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
- Remove Studs for Deep Cleaning: Periodically unscrew the studs to clean out any mud or debris from the threads. Check for wear and replace any worn or damaged studs.
- Dry Naturally: Stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape. Allow them to air dry at room temperature, away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), which can dry out and crack the leather.
- Condition the Leather: Use a specialized leather conditioner or cream designed for K-leather (kangaroo leather) every few weeks, or as needed, to keep the leather supple and prevent it from drying out or cracking.
- Store Properly: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them during transport.
