Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but not overly tight on first wear. Adjust lacing for optimal comfort and fit.
- Stud Check: Before first use, ensure all screw-in studs are tightly secured. It's advisable to check them periodically, especially after matches on challenging surfaces.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for soft ground (SG) natural grass pitches. The screw-in studs provide superior grip on very wet, muddy, or soft playing surfaces. They are not recommended for firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs and compromise performance.
Product Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off excess mud and dirt with a damp cloth. Use a soft brush for stubborn grime. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the K-leather.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can dry out and crack the K-leather. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- K-Leather Conditioning: To maintain the suppleness and durability of the K-leather, regularly apply a high-quality leather conditioner. This prevents drying, cracking, and helps the leather retain its natural properties.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly inspect studs for wear and tear. Replace any worn or damaged studs to ensure optimal grip and prevent injury. Spare studs are often available for purchase.
