Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Check Studs: Before your first use and periodically thereafter, ensure all screw-in studs are securely tightened. Use the provided stud wrench if necessary.
- Break-in Period: Due to the leather upper, a short break-in period may be beneficial to allow the boots to fully conform to your feet for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are *specifically designed for soft ground (SG) pitches*. This includes natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or otherwise soft. They are not recommended for use on firm ground (FG), artificial turf (AG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the boots and increase the risk of injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove excess mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Leather Conditioning: Regularly apply a leather conditioner or cream to keep the Kangaroo leather supple, prevent cracking, and extend the life of the boots.
- Stud Maintenance: Periodically inspect studs for wear and tear. Replace any worn or damaged studs to maintain optimal grip.
