Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the boots are securely laced up, providing a snug but comfortable fit. The lace-up closure allows for adjustable tightness.
- Stud Check: Before each use, inspect the removable studs. Ensure they are clean and securely tightened. On delivery, they should be pre-installed, but it's good practice to check.
- Break-In: Like all quality leather boots, a short break-in period may be beneficial to allow the kangaroo leather to fully mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for junior players (size UK 4). Their removable studs are engineered for very soft, muddy football pitches, offering optimal grip in these conditions. They are less suited for firm ground, artificial grass, or indoor surfaces, where the studs could cause discomfort or damage.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the kangaroo leather upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and mud. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as these can dry out and crack the leather. Stuffing the boots with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically, use a leather conditioner specifically designed for football boots to keep the kangaroo leather supple, prevent cracking, and prolong its lifespan.
- Stud Maintenance: Remove and clean the studs as needed. Store them properly if not in use. Ensure the stud threads are free of debris before re-attaching.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
