Setup
- Initial Fit: When first trying on the boots, ensure a snug but comfortable fit. K-leather will stretch slightly with wear to mold to your foot.
- Stud Check: Before each use, verify that all screw-in studs are securely tightened. Loose studs can affect grip and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) conditions. This refers to natural grass pitches that are wet, muddy, or extremely soft. They are not recommended for use on firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs and reduce their effectiveness.
Care
Proper care for your K-leather boots will extend their lifespan and maintain performance:
- Immediate Cleaning: After every match or training session, clean your boots. Remove excess mud and dirt with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing that could damage the leather.
- Leather Treatment: Apply a specialized K-leather conditioner or cream regularly (e.g., every 3-4 uses) to keep the leather soft, supple, and prevent drying or cracking. This helps maintain the glove-like fit.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the leather to stiffen and crack. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Stud Maintenance: Periodically inspect the screw-in studs for wear. Replace worn or damaged studs to maintain optimal grip. Keep the threads clean to ensure easy removal and insertion.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
