Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Before your first use, properly lace the boots, ensuring they are snug but not overly tight. The lace closure allows for a customized fit to match your foot shape.
- Stud Check: Verify that all screw-in studs are securely tightened into the TPU outsole using a stud wrench (usually sold separately). This is crucial for safety and optimal traction.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for soft natural ground and very soft natural ground. This includes muddy or wet grass pitches where longer studs are required to penetrate the surface. They are not recommended for firm ground, artificial turf, or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs, outsole, and reduce performance.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your premium K-leather boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, wipe off mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Condition Leather: Apply a suitable leather conditioner or boot cream regularly (e.g., once every few weeks depending on usage) to keep the K-leather soft, supple, and prevent cracking. This is vital for maintaining the glove-like fit.
- Dry Properly: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can dry out and crack the leather. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check and clean the screw-in studs. Replace worn or damaged studs promptly to maintain traction and safety. Store spare studs in a dry place.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
