Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Simply unlace the boots, slide your foot in, and tighten the lacing closure to achieve a snug, secure fit. Ensure the laces are tied firmly but comfortably to prevent movement inside the boot while playing.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed as Turf Football Trainers (TF). They feature an outsole optimized for artificial turf surfaces, such as 3G or 4G pitches. They are not recommended for use on natural firm ground (FG), soft ground (SG), or indoor court (IC) surfaces, as this can compromise performance, traction, and durability.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XVI Academy TF boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Wipe down the NIKESKIN upper and outsole with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For stubborn mud, a soft brush can be used on the outsole.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the synthetic materials.
- Air Dry: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Store Properly: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. You can stuff them with crumpled newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb any residual moisture.
- Inspect Regularly: Periodically check the outsole studs and upper for any signs of wear or damage, which could affect performance or lead to injury.
