Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the boots are laced snugly but not too tightly. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, pulling gently to secure your foot without restricting circulation. A proper lacing technique will help prevent blisters and provide optimal support.
- Break-in: Football boots, especially those with synthetic uppers, often require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow them to conform to your foot shape. Wearing appropriate football socks can also aid comfort during this period.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for TF (Turf Football) surfaces, which include artificial grass and astroturf pitches. The outsole's lug pattern is optimized for these surfaces, providing maximum grip and durability. They are not recommended for natural grass (FG/SG) or indoor court (IC) surfaces, as this can damage the boots and compromise performance and safety. The specific size for this product is UK 4 (Adult).
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals as they can damage the NIKESKIN material.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers) as this can cause the material to crack or deform.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a shoe tree or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb excess moisture.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the studs/lugs for wear and tear. While designed for durability, consistent use on abrasive turf can cause wear over time.
