Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your HOKA Kaha 3 hiking shoes, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in: Wear your shoes on short walks before committing to a multi-day trip to allow the foam and heel collar to adapt to your foot.
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft brush after each hike. If muddy, rinse with cool water and mild soap; avoid harsh detergents that may damage the GORE-TEX membrane.
- Drying: Air dry naturally. Never place them near direct heat sources like radiators or campfires, as extreme heat can warp the EVA midsole or cause the adhesives to fail.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Compatibility: These shoes work well with standard hiking socks; ensure they are tied securely to lock the heel in place, leveraging the mid-cut height.
