Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your HOKA Kaha 3 shoes last through many seasons, it is important to follow proper care protocols.
- Break-in Period: Wear your shoes on shorter, flatter walks before taking them on multi-day expeditions to allow the midsole and upper to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: After muddy hikes, rinse the outsole with water and wipe the upper with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may degrade the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating.
- Drying: Air dry in a cool, shaded area. Never place these shoes near a direct heat source like a radiator or campfire, as this can cause the adhesives to fail and the midsole to warp.
- Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated place to prevent moisture buildup in the lining.
