Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Kaha 3 hiking shoes, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: Wear your shoes for short walks on flat terrain before committing to long, steep backcountry excursions to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: After muddy hikes, remove loose dirt with a soft brush. Use lukewarm water and a mild soap if necessary; avoid harsh detergents that could damage the GORE-TEX membrane.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as extreme heat can degrade the adhesives and foam.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to prevent mold and material degradation.
