Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your HOKA Kaha 3 GTX shoes perform at their peak, prioritize the following care routine:
- Breaking In: Wear the shoes on short, flat walks before committing to a long, steep hike to allow the upper to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Remove excess dirt after each hike using a soft brush. If muddy, wipe down with a damp cloth; avoid submerging or machine washing, as this can degrade the GORE-TEX lining.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators or fireplaces, which can damage the EVA foam and glues.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area to prevent moisture buildup and potential odor.
- Socks: Pair with high-quality merino wool or synthetic hiking socks to complement the internal cushioning and breathability.
