Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but not overly tight. A good fit provides both comfort and support.
- Initial Wear: Encourage your child to wear the boots for short periods before their first match or long training session to allow them to break in and mold to their feet. This reduces the chance of discomfort.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG (Firm Ground) soleplate. This means they are specifically designed for:
- Natural Grass Pitches: Ideal for dry to slightly wet natural grass fields.
- Avoid: Hard ground, artificial grass (AG), or very soft/muddy pitches, as this can cause premature wear to the studs or reduce performance.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your football boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by gently tapping the soles together. Use a soft brush or cloth with lukewarm water to wipe down the synthetic leather upper and studs. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Deodorizing: Insert crumpled newspaper or cedar balls into the boots after cleaning to absorb moisture and odor.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag for protection during transport.
