Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the boots are laced securely but comfortably. Start lacing from the bottom eyelets, pulling snugly but not too tightly to avoid discomfort or restricting blood flow. The knitted tongue should sit flat against the foot.
- Initial Wear: Encourage your child to wear the boots for short periods before their first game to break them in. This helps the synthetic leather upper mold to their foot shape, enhancing comfort.
Compatibility
These Sondico Blaze boots feature FG (Firm Ground) studs. This means they are specifically designed for use on:
- Natural grass pitches: Best suited for firm, dry to slightly damp natural grass fields.
They are not recommended for:
- Artificial Grass (AG) pitches
- Soft Ground (SG) pitches (very wet or muddy conditions)
- Indoor surfaces
Using them on incorrect surfaces can lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear, and potential injury.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life of your child's boots and maintain their performance.
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, remove any mud or dirt. Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to clean the studs and soleplate. Wipe the synthetic leather upper with a damp cloth.
- Deep Cleaning: For more stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution and a soft cloth can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the synthetic material.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can cause the synthetic material to crack or deform. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in damp sports bags for extended periods, as this can lead to odor and material degradation.
