Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Sizing: Ensure you select the correct UK children's size for your child's foot. A proper fit is crucial for comfort and preventing blisters.
- Lacing: Lace the boots securely but not too tightly to allow for blood circulation and comfort. Use a double knot to prevent laces from coming undone during play.
- Break-In: Like most footwear, these boots may require a short break-in period. Encourage your child to wear them for short periods during training before a full match.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG (Firm Ground) soleplate, making them compatible with natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. They are not recommended for use on soft, muddy pitches or artificial turf, as this can reduce traction and potentially damage the boots or cause injury.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your Sondico Blaze boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by knocking the soles together. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the synthetic leather upper. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not force dry with direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, hairdryers) as this can damage the synthetic leather and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can insert newspaper or shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use shoe deodorisers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots overnight.
