Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- First Fit: Ensure your child tries on the boots with the socks they typically wear for football. There should be a snug but comfortable fit, with enough room for toes to move slightly.
- Lacing: Teach your child to lace the boots securely to prevent their foot from moving too much inside, which can cause blisters.
Compatibility
- Firm Ground (FG): These boots are designed exclusively for firm, natural grass pitches. The stud configuration is optimized for these surfaces, providing the best grip and stability.
- Not Recommended For: Using FG boots on artificial grass (AG) can cause excessive wear to the studs and may not provide optimal traction. Avoid using them on very soft or muddy natural pitches (SG), as they may not offer sufficient grip.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your Sondico Blaze boots:
- Cleaning After Each Use: After every game or training session, clean off any mud or dirt. Use a soft brush or cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Remove the insoles and allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not dry them near direct heat sources (like radiators or in direct sunlight) as this can cause the synthetic leather to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use a shoe deodorizer spray or place baking soda packets inside the boots overnight.
