Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Remove boots from packaging.
- Lacing: Ensure laces are properly threaded. Loosen them fully before putting the boots on.
- Wearing: Slide foot into the boot, ensuring the heel is snug against the back. The knitted tongue should sit comfortably over the top of the foot.
- Lacing Up: Tighten laces evenly from the toe upwards, securing them with a double knot. Ensure they are snug but not too tight to restrict circulation or cause discomfort.
Compatibility
These Sondico Blaze boots feature FG (Firm Ground) moulded studs. This design makes them ideal for natural grass pitches that are firm or slightly damp. They are not recommended for use on artificial turf (AG), soft/muddy pitches (SG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs or compromise performance and safety.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by gently tapping the boots together. Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) and a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to wipe down the synthetic leather upper and studs.
- Drying: Never dry boots on a direct heat source (e.g., radiator, tumble dryer) as this can damage the synthetic leather. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape, then allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag to protect them during transport.
- Odor Control: For internal odors, remove insoles (if removable) and air them out. Shoe deodorizers or baking soda can also help absorb smells.
