Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Lacing: Ensure the boots are laced snugly but not too tightly. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, pulling evenly on the laces. A double knot will help prevent them from coming undone during play.
- First Wear: It's advisable for young players to wear the boots for short periods initially to break them in, as new boots can sometimes feel stiff. This helps the boots mold to their feet for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These boots feature Firm Ground (FG) studs. They are specifically designed for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. Using FG boots on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces is not recommended as it can lead to injury, damage to the boots, or poor performance.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, especially if dirty or muddy, wipe down the synthetic leather upper with a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, a soft brush can be used on the studs and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic material and cause it to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Stud Inspection: Regularly check the moulded studs for wear or damage. While not replaceable, keeping them clean helps maintain their grip.
