Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Try On: Ensure the boots fit snugly but comfortably with appropriate football socks. There should be a small amount of space at the toes but no significant slippage at the heel.
- Break-In Period: Like most football boots, the Sondico Blaze may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow the synthetic leather to mold to the foot.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG (Firm Ground) soleplate. This means they are best suited for:
- Natural Grass Pitches: Dry or slightly damp conditions.
They are NOT recommended for:
- Artificial Grass (AG): May cause premature stud wear and can be uncomfortable.
- Soft Ground (SG): Studs may not provide sufficient grip, leading to slipping.
- Indoor Surfaces: Inappropriate for hard, indoor courts.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your boots and maintains their performance.
- Cleaning After Each Use: After every game or training, gently wipe off any mud or dirt using a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them directly on heaters or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic material.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Avoid leaving them in damp kit bags.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, you can use boot deodorizers or stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and smells.
