FAQs

What is the recommended base for the Terrazza Parasol?

The HAY Terrazza Parasol Base, made from weighty concrete, is recommended for stable outdoor use.

Is the parasol base included with the parasol?

No, the parasol base is available as an optional addition and must be purchased separately.

How do I clean the Terrazza Parasol fabric?

Clean the UV-resistant polypropylene fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse with clean water and allow to air dry completely.

What are the available shapes and sizes?

The Terrazza Parasol is available in square, hexagon, and octagon shapes, with a range of sizes to suit different outdoor layouts.

Does the parasol offer protection from rain?

The polypropylene fabric is designed to offer shelter, but it is primarily intended for sun protection. Prolonged exposure to heavy rain is not recommended without adequate drainage and care.

Can I leave the parasol outside all year round?

While durable, it is recommended to use the protective cover and store the parasol in a dry place during off-seasons or severe weather to ensure its longevity.

What colors is the Terrazza Parasol available in?

The Terrazza Parasol is available in various colors, including Green, Grey, Red, and Off White.

Troubleshooting

Parasol is unstable

Ensure the parasol is securely fitted into a weighted parasol base. Check that the base is on a level surface.

Fabric appears faded

While UV resistant, prolonged extreme sun exposure can cause fading. Use the protective cover when not in use to maximize color retention.

Mechanism is stiff

Check for any obstructions. Ensure the pole is straight. Light lubrication of moving parts might help, but refer to specific product instructions if available.

Difficulty extending or retracting

Ensure the canopy is clean and free from debris. Gently operate the mechanism, avoiding force. If issues persist, contact customer support.
