Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure proper lacing to secure your foot comfortably. Start from the bottom eyelets and pull firmly, but not too tightly, ensuring an even tension across your foot. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points.
- Break-In: Like most performance boots, a short break-in period is recommended. Wear them for light training sessions or walks before competitive matches to allow the upper to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are Multi-Ground (FG/MG), meaning they are designed for optimal performance on:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy.
- Artificial Grass (MG): Modern synthetic turf fields. The stud configuration provides balanced traction and reduces stud pressure on these surfaces.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off dirt and debris using a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, a soft brush can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals as they can damage the NIKESKIN material.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight, heaters, or tumble dryers, as extreme heat can cause materials to shrink or crack.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Inspection: Regularly check studs for wear or damage. Worn studs can reduce traction and impact performance.
