FAQs
Are these shoes intended for long-distance running?
While based on running blueprints, the GEL 1130 is primarily marketed as a lifestyle sneaker intended for daily walking and casual wear.
How do I ensure the correct fit?
These shoes fit true to standard UK athletic sizing. If you wear other ASICS models, your standard size should be consistent.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
It is not recommended to machine wash these shoes, as the synthetic leather and glue construction can be damaged by high temperatures and agitation.
What is the inspiration behind the GEL 1130?
The design is heavily inspired by the GEL-KAYANO 14, focusing on the evolution of 2000s-era running aesthetics.
Is the material real leather?
The shoe features synthetic leather paneling, which provides durability and an athletic aesthetic while maintaining the structure of the original design.
Troubleshooting
Creasing on the synthetic leather upper
Use a shoe tree when not in use to help the material maintain its shape.
Dirt accumulation in the paneling
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust from the crevices between the leather panels.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Sizing: These trainers follow standard UK adult sizing. It is recommended to use your typical athletic shoe size.
- Care: Wipe the synthetic leather surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh industrial chemicals on the upper material.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the white synthetic materials from yellowing over time.
- Compatibility: The neutral white and grey design pairs seamlessly with denim, athletic joggers, or casual shorts.
