FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

While inspired by performance runners, the GT-2160 is designed primarily for lifestyle and everyday wear rather than competitive running.

How do I maintain the white color?

Regularly wipe the midsole and clean the upper mesh with a soft brush to prevent deep-set stains.

Is the sizing true to fit?

Yes, the GT-2160 typically adheres to standard ASICS sizing conventions for adult trainers.

Can I remove the insoles?

Yes, the insoles are removable, making it possible to insert custom orthotics if preferred.

What is the inspiration for this shoe?

The model is a modern tribute to the GT-2000 series originally released in the early 2010s.

Troubleshooting

Visible dirt on the white exterior

Spot clean using a mild detergent and a soft-bristled toothbrush to reach the mesh textured areas.

Feel of decreased cushioning

Check if the internal sockliner has compressed; replacing with a high-quality aftermarket insole can refresh the fit.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your ASICS GT-2160 trainers remain in top condition, follow these care steps:

Cleaning: Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe away surface dirt. Avoid submerging the shoes in water.
Drying: Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent material warping.
Compatibility: These trainers fit standard adult sizing. It is recommended to use the stock insoles for optimal support, though they can be replaced if custom orthotics are required.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the integrity of the foam cushioning over time.
