Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before first use, wash the pan in warm, soapy water and dry it thoroughly. To maintain the life of your cast iron pan:
- Heating: Always heat the pan gradually; sudden temperature shocks can cause the enamel to crack.
- Cooking: Use wooden, silicone, or nylon utensils to protect the vitreous enamel coating.
- Cleaning: Allow the pan to cool completely before washing. While the enamel is robust, hand washing is recommended to avoid chips and maintain the finish.
- Storage: Ensure the pan is completely dry before storing it to prevent any moisture buildup around the rim.
