Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Adizero Boston 12 shoes are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply lace them up to achieve a comfortable and secure fit. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience any pressure points or desire a more personalized lockdown. Ensure your socks are comfortable and appropriate for running to maximize the shoe's breathability and fit.
Compatibility
- Running Type: Ideal for mid- to long-distance training, tempo runs, interval workouts, and even longer races where a balance of cushioning and responsiveness is desired.
- Surface: Best suited for road running and paved paths due to the outsole's design and cushioning properties.
- Runner Profile: Designed for neutral runners. The shoe's construction provides inherent stability through its platform and the ENERGYRODS rather than specific motion control features.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your running shoes:
- Cleaning: Remove laces and insoles. Brush off any loose dirt with a soft brush (e.g., an old toothbrush). For stubborn marks, use a small amount of mild soap (like dish soap) mixed with cool water and a cloth to gently scrub the affected areas. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them directly on heaters, in direct sunlight, or in a tumble dryer, as extreme heat can degrade the midsole materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid stuffing them into tight bags immediately after a run, as this can trap moisture.
- Rotation: Consider rotating your Boston 12s with other running shoes, especially if you run frequently. This allows the cushioning to decompress and can prolong the overall lifespan of each pair.
