Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely. Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back. Pull the tongue into position.
- Fit: Begin lacing from the bottom, pulling each section snugly but not overly tight. Ensure the boot feels secure around your midfoot and ankle without any uncomfortable pressure points. There should be a small gap (about a thumb's width) between your longest toe and the end of the boot.
- Break-In: Like all new footwear, your Goletto boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or shorter periods initially to allow them to mold to your feet.
Compatibility
- Pitch Type: These boots are exclusively designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This refers to natural grass fields that are generally dry and firm. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or soft/wet ground (SG) can lead to reduced performance, potential injury, or damage to the boots.
- Activity: Ideal for football matches, training sessions, and casual play on appropriate surfaces.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your adidas Goletto boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, remove excess dirt by knocking the soles together. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the synthetic upper and outsole. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Never dry your boots by direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape, then air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a boot bag can help protect them during transport.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots and leave overnight.
