Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but not overly tight. Use the lace-up design to adjust the fit, preventing your foot from sliding inside the boot. A double knot can help prevent laces from coming undone during play.
- Break-In Period: While the synthetic leather offers a comfortable fit out of the box, a short break-in period (1-2 light sessions) can help the boots fully adapt to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Pitch Type: These boots are designed exclusively for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means natural grass fields that are dry to slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG) can cause premature wear to the studs and the outsole, and may also affect performance and increase the risk of injury. Avoid using them on hard ground (HG) or soft ground (SG).
Care and Maintenance
Proper care extends the life of your boots and maintains their performance:
- Cleaning After Each Use: Remove excess mud and dirt immediately after playing. Use a soft brush or old toothbrush for the soleplate and studs. Wipe the upper with a damp cloth.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and leather, causing them to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Consider using shoe trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use a shoe deodorizer or baking soda inside the boots overnight.
