Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your new Goletto boots is straightforward:
- Lacing: Loosen the laces, insert your foot, and then gradually tighten the laces from the bottom upwards. Ensure a snug fit across the midfoot without being overly constrictive. Tie a double knot for extra security during play.
- Break-in Period: Like most new footwear, these boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions or casual use before a full match to allow them to mold to your feet.
Compatibility
- Surface: Exclusively designed for Firm Ground (FG). This means natural grass pitches that are dry and firm. Using them on soft ground (SG) or artificial grass (AG/TF) can lead to reduced grip, accelerated stud wear, and potential damage to the boot.
- Fit: Adult male sizing. Refer to the UK 10 size for accurate fit. Consider wearing your usual football socks when trying them on.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, clean off mud and dirt. Use a soft brush (like a toothbrush) for studs and a damp cloth for the upper. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the synthetic leather and soleplate.
- Deodorizing: Insert cedar shoe trees or crumpled newspaper to absorb moisture and odor. You can also use boot deodorizers.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. A breathable boot bag is ideal for transport and storage.
- Avoid Washing Machine: Never put your football boots in a washing machine, as this can severely damage their construction and materials.
