Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting Up Your Boots
- Lacing: Use the traditional lace-up design to secure your foot. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, ensuring even tension across the laces. Tie them firmly but not so tightly that they restrict circulation.
- Breaking In: New boots, especially those with synthetic leather, often require a short break-in period. Wear them for short periods during light training sessions before a full match to allow them to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG). This means they are optimized for use on natural grass pitches that are dry and relatively hard. They are not recommended for:
- *Artificial Grass (AG) / Artificial Turf*: Can cause excessive wear to the outsole and cleats, and reduce traction.
- *Soft Ground (SG)*: Will not provide sufficient grip on muddy or very wet pitches.
- *Indoor Surfaces (IC)*: The cleat configuration is unsuitable and could damage indoor courts.
Product Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after playing, knock off any loose dirt or grass. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the synthetic leather upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Never dry your boots by direct heat (e.g., radiators, hair dryers), as this can damage the synthetic materials and glue. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag to protect them from dust and scratches.
- Insole Care: Removable insoles can be taken out and air-dried separately to prevent odors.
- Material Care: The synthetic leather upper is durable but can benefit from occasional wiping with a specialized synthetic leather cleaner if it gets particularly dirty. Info needed: [Specific product recommendation for synthetic leather cleaner]
