Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Before your first use, properly lace your boots, ensuring a snug but not overly tight fit. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points. The `lace-up design` allows for personalized adjustment.
- Break-in: Like most footwear, these boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow them to conform to your feet.
Compatibility
These adidas Goletto Firm Ground Football Boots are designed *specifically* for firm ground (FG) pitches. This refers to natural grass fields that are typically dry or slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very soft/muddy ground (SG) is not recommended, as it can reduce performance and potentially damage the boots or cause injury due to improper traction.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your boots and maintains performance:
- Cleaning after each use: After every game or training session, clean off mud and dirt. Use a soft brush or damp cloth for the `synthetic leather upper` and sole. For stubborn mud, a mild soap solution can be used.
- Drying: Never dry your boots near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to crack or shrink. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape, then allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
- Insole care: Remove and air out the `cushioned insole` periodically to prevent odor buildup.
