Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your adidas Goletto boots are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply:
- Loosen Laces: Fully loosen the laces before putting on the boots.
- Insert Foot: Gently slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is seated comfortably at the back.
- Adjust Fit: Tighten the laces from the bottom up, ensuring an even, snug fit without being too restrictive.
- Double Knot: Secure with a double knot to prevent laces from coming undone during play.
*Initial Wear*: It's recommended to wear your new boots for short periods during training sessions before a full match to allow them to break in and conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) football pitches. This means:
- Ideal: Natural grass fields that are dry to moderately damp, with short to medium-length grass.
- Not Recommended: Artificial grass (AG), artificial turf (TF), indoor courts (IC), or extremely soft/muddy natural grass. Using them on unsuitable surfaces can lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear, and potential injury.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Remove excess mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Remove Insole (Optional): For thorough drying and odor prevention, remove insoles after use.
- Air Dry: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as extreme heat can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Stuff with Paper: To help maintain shape and absorb moisture, stuff boots with newspaper while drying.
- Store Properly: Keep boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight. A boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not submerge boots in water for prolonged cleaning, as this can damage materials and glue.
