AS Creation Wood Slats Wallpaper - Charcoal Black - 39109-4

No, this is a non-woven wallpaper, which requires applying wallpaper paste directly to the wall before hanging the strips. It is not a self-adhesive peel and stick product.

While durable, this wallpaper is generally recommended for areas with standard humidity levels like living rooms or bedrooms. It is not designed for high-moisture environments such as inside a shower or directly above a stovetop. Ensure good ventilation if used in a bathroom or kitchen.

Measure the height and width of your wall(s). Multiply height by width to get the total square footage. Each roll is 10m long by 0.53m wide (5.3 square meters). Divide your total square footage by 5.3 and round up. Always add an extra roll for pattern matching and contingency, especially with a patterned design like this.

You should use a high-quality, ready-mixed wallpaper paste specifically designed for non-woven wallpapers. These pastes are formulated to provide strong adhesion and easy application.

While technically possible, painting over a textured and patterned wallpaper like this would likely diminish its intended 3D wood slat effect and texture. It's designed to be used as is for its specific aesthetic.

The wallpaper is designed to provide a distinct black wood slat appearance. While it will create a bold statement, the 3D effect and texture can add depth, preventing it from appearing as a flat, overwhelming dark surface. Lighting in your room will also significantly impact its perceived darkness.

This is often due to insufficient paste, uneven paste application, or trapped air. For small bubbles, you can try gently smoothing them out with a pin or knife tip and reapplying light pressure. For wrinkles, you may need to carefully peel back the section, reapply paste if needed, and smooth it again more thoroughly, ensuring even paste coverage.

Visible seams usually indicate strips were not butted together tightly enough or uneven pasting at the edges. Apply a small amount of seam adhesive directly to the lifting edge, press firmly, and wipe away any excess. Ensure the wall surface behind the seam is also clean and smooth.

This can happen if the first strip wasn't perfectly vertical or if the pattern repeat wasn't carefully matched. If possible, gently peel back the misaligned strip and re-position it. For best results, always use a plumb line for the first strip and dry-fit patterns before applying paste. Minor misalignments might be less noticeable if the overall effect is maintained.
