Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Adizero Boston 12 shoes is straightforward:
- Lacing: Utilize the traditional lacing system to achieve a secure and comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points or heel slip.
- First Run: Allow for a brief break-in period, perhaps with a shorter, easier run, to adapt to the shoe's propulsive feel and cushioning.
Compatibility
- Runner Type: Ideal for runners with a neutral gait. The shoe provides stability through its structured design but lacks specific motion control features.
- Surface: Primarily designed for road running, thanks to the durable and grippy Continental™ Rubber outsole.
- Usage: Best for regular training, tempo runs, long-distance efforts, and race day for mid to long distances.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your running shoes:
- Cleaning: After runs, especially in dirty conditions, gently wipe down the upper with a damp cloth or soft brush. For the outsole, remove any trapped debris.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not store them in plastic bags as this can trap moisture.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Adizero Boston 12 with other running shoes to allow the cushioning to fully decompress and recover between runs, thus prolonging their lifespan.
