Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Adizero Boston 12 typically requires no special setup.
- Lacing: Ensure you lace them securely, but not too tightly, to achieve optimal lockdown without creating pressure points. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience discomfort or heel slip.
- Initial Wear: Wear them for short walks or easy runs initially to allow them to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Foot Type: Generally suitable for neutral runners. Runners with specific stability needs might explore other models.
- Running Surface: Ideal for road running and track workouts due to its responsive cushioning and durable outsole.
- Distance: Best suited for medium to long-distance runs (e.g., 5k to marathon training and racing).
Care
Proper care extends the life of your running shoes and maintains their performance.
- Remove excess dirt with a soft brush (e.g., old toothbrush).
- Mix a small amount of mild soap (like dish soap) with lukewarm water.
- Gently scrub the upper and outsole with a cloth or soft brush dipped in the soapy water.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Do not submerge the shoes in water or put them in a washing machine, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature.
- Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators or tumble dryers), which can warp materials.
- Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
