Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Before your first use, ensure the laces are threaded correctly and tie them to achieve a snug, comfortable fit without being overly tight. A proper fit is crucial for performance and preventing blisters.
Compatibility
These boots are exclusively designed for *soft ground* rugby pitches, which are typically wet, muddy, or have longer grass. Using them on firm ground, artificial turf, or indoor surfaces can damage the boots, compromise performance, and potentially cause injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose mud and dirt using a soft brush or a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals. For the leather upper, use a specialized leather cleaner if necessary, followed by a conditioner.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can crack the leather and damage synthetic materials. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check the metal studs for wear and ensure they are tightly secured. Loose studs can be replaced if needed (check manufacturer guidelines for compatible replacements).
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
