Setup
- Lacing: Before your first use, fully unlace the boots and then lace them up again, ensuring they are snug but not too tight. The asymmetrical lacing is designed for optimal fit and kicking accuracy, so take time to find your preferred tension.
- Break-In Period: Like most leather boots, the RS 15 Elite SG may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a match to allow the leather to adapt to your foot shape.
- Stud Check: Always check that all screw-in studs are securely tightened before every wear to prevent them from loosening or falling out during play.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This includes muddy, wet, or very soft natural grass fields. They are not compatible with firm ground (FG) or artificial grass (AG) pitches. Using them on inappropriate surfaces can damage the studs and outsole, and significantly reduce grip.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, remove all excess mud and debris using a soft brush or a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Leather Care: For the adaptive leather vamp, wipe clean with a damp cloth. Periodically apply a high-quality leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent it from drying out and cracking. Allow to air dry naturally; do not use direct heat sources.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly inspect your studs for wear and damage. Replace worn or damaged studs promptly to maintain optimal traction and support.
- Drying & Storage: Remove insoles to air out the boots separately. Stuff boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat, and avoid storing them in a damp kit bag.
