Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
- Lacing: Before your first use, fully unlace the boots and then re-lace them, ensuring the asymmetrical lacing system is snug but not overly tight. This helps the boots conform to your foot's unique shape.
- Break-In: Like all new rugby boots, a break-in period is recommended. Wear them for short periods during training sessions or warm-ups before using them in a full match to allow the leather and padding to mold to your foot.
Compatibility
- Ground Type: These boots are exclusively designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. They are not suitable for firm ground, artificial grass, or indoor surfaces.
- Player Type: Ideal for adult male rugby players seeking a balance of speed, mobility, and kicking precision.
- Fit: The boots offer a regular fit.
Care
Maintaining your adidas RS 15 Elite SG Rugby Boots will prolong their lifespan and ensure optimal performance.
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, immediately remove excess mud and debris from the upper and soleplate. Use a soft brush or cloth and lukewarm water.
- Stud Care: Regularly check the studs for wear and ensure they are tightly screwed in (if removable). Replace worn or damaged studs promptly.
- Drying: Never dry your boots with direct heat (e.g., radiators, hairdryers). This can damage the leather and synthetic materials. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
- Leather Conditioning: As the boots feature an adaptive leather vamp, consider using a leather conditioner or cream periodically to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them from scratches and keep them clean.
