Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your boots come ready for play. Simply lace them up securely, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit. The asymmetrical lacing might require a few adjustments to find your ideal tension, especially around the forefoot, to maximize kicking accuracy and comfort.
Compatibility
- Pitch Type: These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches, which are typically natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or require deeper penetration for grip. They are not recommended for firm ground, artificial grass, or hard ground surfaces, as this can damage the studs and compromise grip.
- Foot Type: Designed with a regular fit, they accommodate most foot shapes. However, trying them on to ensure optimal comfort and fit is always advised.
- Gender/Age: Marketed for adult males, but can be suitable for any adult player requiring the features.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your RS15 Elite boots:
- Cleaning After Each Use: Immediately after playing, remove all mud and debris. Use a brush or soft cloth and warm water. For stubborn mud, a mild soap can be used.
- Leather Care: Since the forefoot is adaptive leather, it benefits from occasional conditioning to maintain its suppleness and prevent cracking. Use a leather conditioner specifically designed for sports footwear.
- Drying: Never dry your boots with direct heat (e.g., radiators, hairdryers) as this can dry out and crack the leather. Stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check your studs for wear and tear. Worn or damaged studs will reduce grip and performance. Replace them as needed with compatible soft ground studs.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
