Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Alan Symonds Velvet Chenille Eyelet Curtains is straightforward:
- Unpack: Carefully remove curtains from packaging.
- Iron (Optional): If needed, a cool iron can be used on the reverse side to remove any creases from packaging.
- Install Curtain Pole: Ensure your curtain pole is securely installed above your window frame and is wide enough to allow the curtains to stack back neatly when open.
- Thread Eyelets: Simply slide the curtain pole through the eyelets at the top of each curtain panel, alternating the direction of the fabric folds for an even ripple effect.
- Hang: Position the curtains evenly on the pole.
Compatibility
These curtains are designed for versatility:
- Decor Styles: The plain Pink colour and luxurious texture complement a wide range of interior designs, from modern and minimalist to classic and glamorous.
- Rooms: Ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms (where light filtering is desired over blackout), or studies. They pair well with existing furniture and decor due to their understated elegance.
- Curtain Poles: Compatible with standard curtain poles up to approximately 30-40mm in diameter, suitable for eyelet curtains.
Care
Maintaining the beauty of your velvet chenille curtains is simple:
- Machine Washable: Wash at a low temperature (e.g., 30°C or cold wash) on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent.
- Line Dry: Hang curtains to line dry immediately after washing. Avoid tumble drying to prevent damage to the fabric's texture.
- Do Not Bleach: Avoid using bleach as it can damage the fabric and colour.
- Cool Iron: If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron on the reverse side of the fabric. Do not iron directly on the velvet pile.
- Do Not Dry Clean: Info needed: [check product tag for specific dry cleaning instructions, but typically polyester is machine washable]
