Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your boots last through the season, consistency in maintenance is key.
- Fitting: Ensure you wear the same type of socks you use during matches when trying these on to get an accurate sense of the fit.
- Break-in: Spend 15-20 minutes in the boots during a light training session before using them in a full match to allow the upper to mold to your foot.
- Cleaning: After play, tap the boots together to knock off loose mud. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid submerging the boots in water or using harsh detergents.
- Drying: Always air dry the boots in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the materials to warp or crack.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place and use a shoe tree or stuffed newspaper to help maintain the shape between sessions.
