Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & First Use
- Lacing: Ensure laces are tied securely but not excessively tight to prevent discomfort. Experiment with lacing patterns to find the best fit for your foot shape.
- Break-In Period: Like most football boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use before full-intensity matches to allow the NIKESKIN upper to mold to your foot for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are Multi-Ground (FG/MG), meaning they are suitable for:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm or slightly wet.
- Artificial Grass (MG): Modern artificial turf pitches (3G/4G).
Avoid using them on hard ground (HG) or very soft/muddy pitches (SG) as this can damage the studs or reduce performance.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after playing, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove excess mud and dirt. For tougher grime, use a soft brush and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the materials to dry out and crack. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a boot bag can protect them from scratches and keep them clean during transport.
- Inspect Regularly: Periodically check the studs for wear or damage. Replace boots if studs are excessively worn down, as this can compromise grip and safety.
