Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but comfortably. Start lacing from the toe, pulling each section firm before moving to the next eyelet. This helps create a snug, supportive fit across your foot.
- Break-In: While designed for comfort, it's recommended to break in new boots during training sessions or warm-ups before a full match. This allows the boots to mould to your feet.
Compatibility
- Pitch Type: These boots are specifically designed for soft ground pitches (natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or have deeper turf).
- Player Type: Ideal for adult rugby players across all positions who require reliable grip and stability in soft conditions.
- Not Recommended For: Firm ground, artificial turf, or hard ground pitches, as the stud configuration is not optimized for these surfaces and could lead to discomfort or premature wear.
Care Instructions
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Canterbury Stampade Ground Break Elite boots, follow these care steps:
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, remove as much mud and debris as possible. Use a brush or dull tool to scrape off excess mud from the upper and soleplate.
- Washing: Wipe down the boots with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage the materials.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check that studs are tight. If they are removable, consider replacing worn-out studs to maintain optimal traction.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause materials to crack or shrink. Stuffing boots with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid storing them in sealed bags where moisture can accumulate.
