Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best results with your dead matt finish, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or grease. If painting over porous surfaces, use a suitable primer to ensure even coverage. Apply the paint using high-quality synthetic brushes or rollers, maintaining a wet edge to avoid overlapping marks, as dead matt finishes can sometimes show roller drag if not applied smoothly. For care, avoid harsh scrubbing. If a mark occurs, a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water used gently is usually sufficient. Always keep a small amount of leftover paint for touch-ups, as this finish can be difficult to spot-repair once it has aged.
