Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced snugly but not too tightly. Experiment with different lacing patterns to find the most comfortable and secure fit for your foot shape. A proper lacing technique helps lock your foot in place, maximizing comfort and control.
- Initial Wear: Wear the boots for short periods around the house or during light training sessions to allow them to mold to your feet. This helps in the 'break-in' process and prevents discomfort during your first match.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This includes most natural grass fields that are dry to slightly wet. While they *can* be used on well-maintained artificial grass (AG) pitches, they are not optimized for them and may lead to reduced grip or accelerated wear of the studs.
Care
Proper care extends the lifespan and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove mud and dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag to protect them during transport.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use shoe deodorizers or place newspaper inside the boots to absorb moisture and smell.
