Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- First Wear: Before playing a full match, wear your boots for a few short training sessions to allow them to break in and adapt to the shape of your foot. This helps prevent discomfort and blisters.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what offers the most secure and comfortable fit for your foot shape. Ensure laces are tied securely to prevent them from coming undone during play.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means natural grass fields that are dry and offer a firm playing surface. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or very hard ground may reduce their effectiveness, cause discomfort, and could potentially damage the boots or increase the risk of injury.
Care
Maintaining your Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Elite FG boots properly will extend their lifespan and ensure consistent performance.
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, remove loose dirt and grass from the outsole and upper using a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Wipe Down: Use a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to wipe down the upper. For specific material care, refer to Nike's general footwear care guidelines. Avoid submerging boots in water.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hair dryers, as this can damage the materials. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A boot bag can protect them from dust and scratches.
