Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Begin by loosening the laces completely. Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is firmly seated against the back. Begin lacing from the bottom, pulling firmly but not excessively tight, ensuring an even tension across your foot. Double-knot for security.
- Initial Wear: Wear the boots for short periods during light training sessions to allow the FlyTouch Lite leather to naturally mold to the shape of your foot. This break-in period is crucial for achieving the customized fit and optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Elite FG boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are best suited for natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or very hard ground may reduce performance, increase wear, and potentially lead to injury.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution. Gently wipe the FlyTouch Lite leather with a damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals or excessive scrubbing. Clean the studs and soleplate thoroughly.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight, heaters, or tumble dryers, as this can dry out and damage the leather.
- Conditioning (Leather): Periodically, consider using a specialized leather conditioner designed for football boots to keep the FlyTouch Lite leather supple and prevent cracking. Apply sparingly according to the product's instructions.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Refer to Product Label: Always check the specific care instructions on the product label for any additional recommendations.
